There are few things I enjoy more in life than spending quality time with my son, James. Whether we are enjoying the beautiful Nanjing sunshine in a park, or indoors hiding from the rain in a soft play area, we always end up having the best time!
During our seven months in China, we have spent more time together playing than in a whole year in England, and exploring the city has become our favourite hobby. From riding the train outside Golden Eagle mall, to winning teddy bears at Wanda mall, Nanjing has something to offer, whatever the weather. It’s a great excuse for us to interact with other families, for James to meet new friends, and for me to improve my Mandarin. Everyone is always so happy to see him, and it’s rare he leaves without someone offering him a biscuit, fruit or a sweet!
We are excited about our next big adventure in April, a trip to XuanWu Lake! We plan to hire a boat so we can explore the waterways and take in the beautiful scenery, including the splendid spring blossoms.
