Have you ever wondered where does the rainbow come from? Maybe you’re still young and have a wild imagination and might have thought that the sky fairies had something to do with it.
But in actual fact, rainbows are formed when sunlight is scattered from raindrops into the eye of an observer. Most raindrops are spherical rather than the often depicted 'teardrop' shape and it is this spherical shape that provides the conditions for a rainbow to be seen.
Rainbows are beautiful things to look at and they almost appear magical. Some people also tend to believe that if you ever find the tail or where the rainbow ends that a pot of gold will be waiting for you. I hope that one day you are fortunate enough to see where the rainbow ends.
