Being a father has taught me things and awakened others within me. In my own humble opinion, and speaking from an experience, one doesn’t know exactly if they want to be a parent or not until they are one. The feelings, emotions, thinking processes, and many other things for me now are not the same as they were two years ago. To be in a constant state of worry, anxious and curious about what is next, stressed and relieved by what is happening. The unconditional love that lets you love and care for a being more than your own self. Are things that were born with me, and they have only been activated the moment I became a parent. You see, observe, and hear yet it is not comparable in the slightest to the experience gained from being a parent. It’s finally making me understand what my parents were always trying to teach me. Teach me about their important role in my life, the responsibilities, the care, the love, the nurture, the devotion, the protection, the sacrifices, and many countless other things they provided for me and for my siblings to be what we are now. Becoming a parent is the start signal for a new chapter with the title “It Is Your Turn Now.” In conclusion, despite the challenges, hardships, and experiences whether they are now or later, becoming a parent is the most wonderful thing that happened to me.
